How ratings work and how to improve your score.
Ratings are based on real interactions between two users. A match alone is not enough to become eligible to rate someone. Before two users can rate each other, ALL of the following must happen: 1. The users must match. 2. Both users must send at least one message. 3. Each user must place the other person into a Catalog folder. 4. One user sends a Rating Request. 5. The other user accepts the Rating Request. 6. Once both users agree, the rating session begins and each person has 24 hours to submit their ratings. Important details: • Both users rate the same categories. • Neither user can see the other person's ratings until BOTH have submitted. • After both users submit, each person can Accept, Negotiate, or Refuse the ratings they received. • Accepted ratings become part of the recipient's published reputation. • Refused ratings are not added to the recipient's Others score. • Negotiation allows the requested user to revise their submitted ratings before both users make a final decision. • Ratings remain anonymous to the public. • Only accepted peer ratings contribute to the Others score and Dating Rank. • Self ratings never contribute to the Others score or Dating Rank.
