How does Matching work?

Matching on CTAMPED is mutual interest — here's how the full process works, from your first swipe to automatic cleanup.

How it works

  • •Like (✓) — You're interested. If they also like you, it's a match
  • •On the Fence (?) — Save someone to decide later; they're not notified
  • •No (X) — Pass for now. They appear in Reconsideration later
  • •Super Like — Signal stronger interest with higher visibility
  • •Mutual Like — When both users like each other, a match is created
  • •Match creation — You can now message each other
  • •First message — Break the ice; your match is waiting
  • •Inactive Matches — Matches with no conversation move to Inactive after 7 days
  • •Automatic cleanup — Inactive matches end after 14 days if no messages are sent

Important things to know

  • •Matching requires mutual interest — both people must like each other
  • •On the Fence keeps your options open privately
  • •Super Likes help you stand out from the crowd
  • •Inactive matches are still recoverable until Day 14

Tips & Best Practices

  • •Check your Interested list often — many matches happen there
  • •Send the first message promptly after matching
  • •Use On the Fence when you need more time
  • •Keep your profile complete to attract more matches
